About Elektronaut
Elektronaut was founded by me, Dr. Konstantin Schauwecker, to provide high-quality embedded design services that treat your prototypes with the rigor of a finished product.
I bring over 15 years of experience in developing complex electronics, FPGA solutions, and software systems. My approach is comprehensive and vertically integrated: I don’t just design isolated components; I architect and build complete, reliable systems that function perfectly from the low-level hardware up through the application software.
A Foundation in Real-World Products
Much of my expertise stems from founding Nerian Vision in 2015, a manufacturer of high-speed 3D cameras.
- Technical Leadership: At Nerian, I led the development of four product generations that combined stereo vision with ultra-fast FPGA-based image processing to deliver real-time 3D depth measurements.
- Full-Stack Responsibility: As founder and lead developer, I was directly responsible for the FPGA design, electronics development, and a significant share of the software stack.
- Commercial Success: Nerian’s cameras were sold in more than 35 countries. In 2022, the company was acquired by a major player in the machine vision industry and integrated into their existing portfolio.
