About Elektronaut
Elektronaut was founded by me, Dr. Konstantin Schauwecker, to provide high-quality embedded design services. I bring over 15 years of experience in developing complex electronics, FPGA solutions, and software systems.
Much of my expertise stems from founding Nerian Vision in 2015, a manufacturer of high-speed 3D cameras. At Nerian, I led the development of four product generations that combined stereo vision with ultra-fast FPGA-based image processing to deliver real-time 3D depth measurements. As founder and lead developer, I was directly responsible for FPGA design, electronics development, and a significant share of the software stack. Nerian’s cameras were sold in more than 35 countries, and in 2022 the company was acquired by a major player in the machine vision industry before being integrated into their existing portfolio.
With Elektronaut, I’m building on that foundation to offer end-to-end development services—from electronics and FPGA design to software integration—all from a single source. I’m passionate about solving challenging technical problems, working hands-on, and collaborating with international teams to turn ambitious ideas into working products.
